He was brought up in Rajendra Nagar and went to a boarding school, St. Columba’s School. Even at an early age, he proved to be very intelligent by obtaining high marks in class and taking part in many other school events. Upon completion of his studies, Shah was offered a place in economics program at Hansraj College in New Delhi. It was during that time when he realized how much he loved acting and found out his skills when he joined a Master course on Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia University. It marked the time that Shah begun paying more attention to drama alongside enhancing his acting competencies, elements that boosted his fame in the entertainment industry.
