Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal shared that he was removed from Shark Tank India Season 4 by its sponsor, Swiggy. The two companies, both major players in India's food delivery industry, are competitors, which led to Goyal being "kicked out" of the popular TV show as a result of Swiggy's sponsorship.

Zomato's co-founder Deepinder Goyal disclosed that he has been pulled out of the ongoing season four of Shark Tank India following the show's primary sponsor, Swiggy who is also Goyal’s direct rival through his company, Zomato. There is fierce competition between the two companies as far as food delivery is concerned in India, hence the reason Goyal was like Oh No! I am getting donated disease why should I fight back and supply revenge for TV.

The competition must have gone a notch higher between India’s two food delivery services, Zomato and Swiggy as they have taken their rivalry to Shark Tank India Season 4. A report published by Moneycontrol states that there is a likelihood that Swiggy will amend its contract within the changed circumstances as it is close to signing the Shark Tank India season four sponsorship deal. In essence, this is another healthy or unhealthy competition depending on how one looks at it in the food delivery business in India.

Did Swiggy kick out Goyal from Shark Tank India?

The network which houses Sony entertainment television, has already started filming the new season of the Indian version of Shark Tank, season four which brings along familiar faces from previous seasons: Anupam Mittal of People group, Aman Gupta of boAT lifestyle, Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Ritesh Agarwal of OYO, and Peyush Bansal of lens cart.

Zomato's Deepinder Goyal became a shark in season three, for which he got credit for great conversations with owners of start-ups. Yet even he will not be coming back for the new season, geographically as always due to sponsorship conflicts.
