'Why is Delhi govt taking out its animosity on women?' Swati Maliwal composes to Arvind Kejriwal, questions blackout of 181 helpline

Swati Maliwal highlighted a few issues the Delhi Commission for Ladies faces, such as need for subsidizing and delay in arrangements, in her letter to CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Affirming that an orderly disassembling of the Delhi Commission for Ladies (DCW) has been going on since her renunciation as its chairperson six months prior, Swati Maliwal on Tuesday inquired Delhi Chief Serve Arvind Kejriwal to see into the brief closing down of the women's helpline 181.

The 181 helpline was closed on Monday for many days as its working office has been changed from the DCW to the Division of Ladies and Child Improvement. In her letter to Kejriwal, Maliwal said this charged carelessness typifies a need for empathy towards violations against ladies and young ladies within the capital.

“Since over 48 hours, survivors of assault and other violations have been cleared out without pivotal help. The gravity of this circumstance cannot be exaggerated, underlining the pressing requirement for intervention to address and correct these troubling circumstances,” she said in the letter she shared on X.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP included that there was no have to take over the helpline from the DCW and no discussion was held with it to assess the repercussions of this choice.

“I would like to remind you that the 181 Ladies Helpline had a call drop of over 70 percent when it was being taken care of by the Chief Minister's Office of the Delhi government in 2016. Due to the same, the helpline was exchanged to the DCW. The 181 ladies helpline has seen less than 1 percent call drops beneath the Commission's management,” she said.
Maliwal, who as of late denounced Kejriwal's assistant Bibhav Kumar of attack, said since she surrendered as the DCW chairperson, the Delhi government's priests and officers have opened a front against the DCW. She highlighted several issues the DCW faces, such as need for subsidizing and delays in arrangements.

“No one has been paid compensation for the final six months, the budget has been diminished by 28.5 percent, the 181 helplines have been pulled back and no work has been done to fill the posts of chairperson and two individuals. Why is the Delhi government taking out its animosity on ladies? I have composed a letter to Arvind Kejriwal ji and asked for a reply from him,” Maliwal composed in a post composed in Hindi on X.
